About the role

Our client in the broader public sector is seeking a capable and organized Talent Acquisition Specialist for a short-term assignment.

This role will support recruitment activity for a range of administrative, operational, junior professional, and professional-level positions. The successful candidate will assist with full-cycle recruitment, including candidate screening, interviews, recruitment coordination, hiring manager support, documentation, and related recruitment administration.

This opportunity may also be suitable for an HR Generalist who has strong recruitment experience and is comfortable supporting recruitment in a structured environment.

This is a 12-week assignment with a possible extension. The role is on-site in Toronto.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, HR generalist work with recruitment responsibilities, or a similar role • You have experience screening candidates, conducting interviews, and supporting hiring managers through the recruitment process • You are comfortable supporting recruitment for administrative, operational, junior professional, and professional-level roles • You are organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple recruitment activities and deadlines • You have strong communication skills and can assess candidate experience, qualifications, and fit effectively • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with recruitment trackers, interview notes, and related documentation • Prior experience in the broader public sector, public service, or a unionized environment is considered an asset
