We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support our growing team. Reporting to senior leadership, this role provides comprehensive HR support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, HR compliance, workplace health and safety, and employee support.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, reference checks, and offer preparation. Support onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a positive new employee experience. Maintain recruitment and onboarding records and documentation. Liaise with hiring managers and external partners as required.

HR Administration & Employee Support Serve as the first point of contact for routine employee HR inquiries. Prepare employment contracts, letters, and employee status change documentation. Maintain employee files and records with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy. Support offboarding activities, including resignation documentation and exit interviews. Assist with employee engagement initiatives and workplace communications.

Payroll, Benefits & Compliance Maintain and update employee information within HR systems. Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries. Coordinate new hire packages and ensure completion of required employment and legislative documentation. Support payroll-related administration and employee record management. Prepare reports and data to support audits, compliance, and HR initiatives.

Employee Relations, Training & Health and Safety Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures in accordance with Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act (ESA), Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Support attendance management, accommodation requests, and return-to-work processes. Coordinate mandatory training and compliance tracking. Serve as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), participating in meetings, workplace inspections, and health and safety initiatives. Assist with policy reviews, process improvements, and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience in a coordinator or generalist role. Working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including ESA, OHRC, AODA, and occupational health and safety requirements. Experience with HRIS systems and benefits administration. CHRP designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset. Current Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Certification is an asset; candidates must be willing to obtain certification if not currently certified. Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, written, and verbal communication skills. High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
