Position Summary The Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for managing learning programs, supporting learning technology initiatives, and coordinating the development and maintenance of training content across the organization. This role works closely with the lead of learning & development and business partners to ensure learning initiatives are effectively planned, executed, and maintained to support operational performance and team member development. The Manager oversees the day-to-day administration and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS), manages learning projects and program implementation, and supports the development of new training content and learning experiences. This role partners with instructional designers, subject matter experts, operations leaders, and vendors to ensure learning programs remain effective, relevant, and aligned with business needs. Key Responsibilities Learning Program Management Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of learning and development programs and initiatives. Support the implementation of learning strategies established by Learning & Development leadership. Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and communication plans for learning initiatives. Coordinate cross-functional activities required to successfully deliver training programs. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and escalate issues when necessary. Maintain learning program documentation, project schedules, and status reporting. Partner with business leaders to understand training needs and support learning solutions that address operational challenges. Translate operational priorities into a Canada learning roadmap — sequencing programs, defining personas, and establishing the metrics that will define success. Act as the single point of contact for learning in Canada, coordinating with the Springfield L&D team to align on global governance while running Canada programs. Learning Management System (LMS) Administration & Oversight Serve as the primary business owner for the Learning Management System. Manage LMS functionality, configuration, content deployment, testing, reporting, and user support processes. Coordinate LMS enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and vendor relationships. Monitor LMS utilization, learner engagement, completion rates, and system performance. Develop and distribute reports and dashboards that provide insights into training activity and effectiveness. Identify opportunities to improve the learner experience through technology enhancements and process improvements. Support the evaluation and implementation of new learning technologies and digital learning tools. Content Development Support Coordinate the development, review, maintenance, and deployment of training content. Partner with instructional designers, content developers, and subject matter experts to support content creation efforts. Assist in prioritizing content development requests and managing content project timelines. Ensure training materials align with business objectives, operational standards, and learner needs. Support the development of instructor-led training, e-learning, virtual learning, job aids, videos, assessments, and blended learning solutions. Establish and maintain content review schedules to ensure training materials remain current and accurate. Assist with quality assurance processes and content governance standards. Measurement & Continuous Improvement Track learning metrics including completion rates, learner participation, engagement, satisfaction, and program effectiveness. Analyze LMS and training data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Gather feedback from learners, facilitators, and business leaders to improve learning experiences. Develop recurring reports and summaries for Learning & Development leadership. Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency, effectiveness, and learner engagement. Leadership Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction for learning technology and program support team members. Manage team priorities, workload, and project assignments. Coach and develop team members to support professional growth and performance. Foster collaboration across Learning & Development, Operations, Distribution, Sales, and Corporate functions. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, customer service, and operational excellence. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Learning & Development, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training Operations, Learning Technology, Program Management, or related field. 2+ years of leadership or project management experience. Experience administering or supporting a Learning Management System. Experience coordinating training programs, learning projects, or content development initiatives. Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual in French and English (verbal and written) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Master's degree in a related field. Experience supporting large retail, distribution, logistics, or field-based organizations. Experience with instructional design processes and adult learning principles. Experience with learning analytics, reporting tools, and learning technologies. Project management certification or related professional certification.
