POSITION DETAILS:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for a variety of positions across the organization, including manufacturing, skilled trades, project management, engineering, operations, administration, and leadership roles. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with hiring managers to identify talent needs, develop sourcing strategies, and attract qualified candidates who align with the company's culture and business objectives.
This role requires a proactive, relationship-focused professional with experience recruiting in manufacturing, construction, industrial, engineering, or skilled trades environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Manage full-cycle recruitment from requisition approval through onboarding. Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements, role expectations, and hiring timelines. Develop recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates across technical, professional, and production roles. Prepare and post job advertisements on various job boards, social media platforms, and industry-specific channels. Source candidates through direct outreach, networking, referrals, databases, and professional associations. Screen resumes and conducts initial telephone and virtual interviews. Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Conduct reference checks and assist with background verification processes. Prepare employment offers and facilitate offer negotiations within established compensation guidelines. Monitor recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, and candidate pipeline activity. Develop and maintain talent pools for recurring and hard-to-fill positions. Represent the company at career fairs, industry events, networking functions, and educational institutions. Build relationships with colleges, trade schools, and industry organizations to support talent acquisition efforts. Coordinate pre-employment documentation and onboarding activities. Assist new employees through the onboarding process and ensure a smooth transition into the organization. Ensure recruitment activities comply with Ontario employment legislation, human rights requirements, privacy regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HRIS. Prepare recruitment reports and hiring updates for management. Support HR projects and initiatives as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field. 3–5 years of recruitment experience. Experience recruiting within manufacturing, metal fabrication, construction, engineering, industrial, or skilled trades environments is preferred. Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously. Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms. Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. Ability to source passive candidates using various recruiting methods. Knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment best practices. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and recruitment technology platforms. CHRP designation or working toward designation is considered an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Office-based role with regular interaction with manufacturing and production departments. Occasional travel to recruitment events, educational institutions, and industry functions. Ability to manage multiple hiring projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Once fully trained, employee may work from home 1 day per week.
COMPENSATION
The annual compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 compensated upon experience.

This vacancy is a new position at Maxxit System Inc. This role will require 4 days per week on site at the Toronto Office and one day work from home
