TITLE: Sr. Specialist, Talent Acquisition LOCATION: Hybrid in Scarborough, ON on average 2-3 days/wk COMP RANGE: CAD$59,000 – 79,000 Compensation is determined based on experience, qualifications & internal equity. Griffith Foods is hiring a Sr. Specialist, Talent Acquisition to be responsible for full life cycle recruiting for factory worker and professional positions for the Canada business unit. This role will provide a full range of talent acquisition services to attract, screen, recruit, and select qualified talent to join the company, primarily in high- volume, factory work and/or non-management roles. This is your opportunity to be a part of a growing and emerging CoE at Griffith as the North American Talent Acquisition team came together as a team starting in February 2026. This is the only TA role in Canada, with great opportunity to enhance the understanding of a TA function and build relationships within the Canadian business. Vacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy. As a Sr. Specialist, Talent Acquisition, your responsibilities will include: Assist hiring managers in evolving job descriptions into effective, compliant and inclusive postings and place those posting in appropriate sources, including specialty job boards, as appropriate Review resume submissions, screen applicants for technical competence and applicable background and skills, and ability to fit in the organization and function effectively. Perform routine assignments in screening & assessing candidates with a sense of urgency. Receive instruction, guidance and direction from a Director, Talent Acquisition as well as other, more experienced recruiters on the team Participate in job fairs with various external recruiting organizations. Assist hiring managers in selecting the most qualified candidates from a diverse candidate slate. Screen and assess internal and external employees for job and culture fit. Coordinate employment offers with applicant and hiring department. Provide applicants with pre-employment information regarding job requirements, location, wages & benefits. Demonstrate data integrity in the ATS and ensure consistent ATS utilization & updates to meet compliance and business needs as well as HR reporting. This includes the maintenance of accurate records concerning all phases of the recruitment process, and timely dispositioning of all candidates with appropriate disposition codes in the ATS. The Sr. Specialist, Talent Acquisition position is well-suited for you if you: Utilize tools & resources, including social media, attending career fairs, etc. to proactively source candidates and expand the candidate pool. Enjoy participating in & supporting key improvement projects and initiatives in the areas of Candidate Experience Enhancement and TA process Excellence. Enthusiastically provide information, as needed, to both internal employees and external candidates, while always representing the department and company in a professional manner. Stay abreast of talent market trends and challenges of the external competitive environment, and advise hiring managers and HR accordingly, and build networks with external industry sources to identify qualified passive candidates. Build networks with internal customers and HR Business Partners to develop understanding of Griffith, supported business areas, and jobs being recruited Qualified candidates will have: Bachelor's degree in business, organizational psychology, HR or a related discipline, or 8 years relevant experience as an equivalent. 1 year of recruiting, hiring and/or talent acquisition experience, either in campus or full life cycle recruiting of employees at entry and non-management levels. (Internship experience considered.) Knowledge and understanding of employment practices, Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC), and provincial human rights commissions (like the Ontario Human Rights Commission) and other laws related to recruiting in Canada Working knowledge of an ATS system (Workday Recruiting, or similar) Working knowledge of sourcing tools like Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter Willingness to work onsite in Scarborough, ON up to 3 days per week What will set you apart: Prior experience in a recruiting agency, or as a campus recruiter or high-volume recruiter is a plus. Proficiency with conducting behavioral interviews Prior HR or TA experience in CPG, B2B food or ingredients, or specialty chemical industries.
