Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) has an opening for a Human Resources Summer Student (Canada Summer Jobs). This is a virtual 8-week summer position where the student will work collaboratively with department staff to support a range of administrative duties, office operations, and HR-related projects.
Note: There is 1 position available. Applicants must be in or support the Toronto location.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Draft, edit, and format documents and emails

Assist with scheduling meetings and booking access

Maintain filing systems (organizing, archiving)

Conduct basic research and compile information

Perform data entry
-
Provide support on HR projects (e.g., policy updates, draft spreadsheets, summaries) and day-to-day tasks delegated by HR team members
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and, have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to details required.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a highly confidential environment.

Previous experience working with Culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened or hard of hearing individuals an asset.

American Sign Language (ASL) skills an asset.

Ability to work independently and within a team.
This is an 8-week contract during the period of June 29, 2026, to August 21, 2026, working 30 hours per week.
