About the role
Workforce Planning & Organizational Development
• Develop and maintain Clinical Informatics workforce plans aligned with program implementation timelines. • Support the development of the future-state Clinical Informatics organizational structure across both RHAs. • Define role descriptions, competency profiles, onboarding plans, and career pathways for Clinical Informatics resources. • Establish scalable recruitment and onboarding processes to support significant workforce growth. • Assist leadership in developing resource forecasts, staffing models, and deployment strategies. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition • Lead and coordinate recruitment activities for Clinical Informatics positions. • Partner with Human Resources and RHA leadership to streamline hiring processes. • Support candidate screening, interview processes, selection criteria, and hiring recommendations. • Develop recruitment strategies to attract experienced clinical and informatics professionals from local, national, and international markets. • Establish talent pipelines to support future implementation phases. Onboarding & Resource Readiness • Develop and implement a standardized onboarding program for Clinical Informatics resources across both RHAs. • Coordinate orientation, role-specific training, and program readiness activities. • Ensure newly hired resources are effectively integrated into program teams and governance structures. • Support resource deployment planning and transition into implementation activities. Program Integration & Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with Clinical Informatics Workforce & Program Development Leadership, operational leaders, clinicians, Human Resources, and program leadership to align staffing activities with implementation priorities. • Support the development of Clinical Informatics governance, communication, and engagement processes. • Facilitate collaboration between RHAs while promoting a consistent provincial approach to workforce development. • Identify organizational risks, resource constraints, and capacity challenges and recommend mitigation strategies. Clinical Informatics Program Development • Assist in establishing the foundational processes, standards, and operating practices required for a mature Clinical Informatics organization. • Support development of Clinical Informatics communities of practice, mentorship programs, and leadership development initiatives. • Contribute to organizational change management, clinical adoption planning, and readiness activities associated with CIS implementation. • Support continuous improvement of Clinical Informatics services and workforce capabilities.
