Your Role in Supporting Our Members: As a Learning Designer, you will play a key role in enabling Vancity employees to deliver a future-forward member experience by leading the learning work required to support a defined business project. In collaboration with leaders, project teams, and key stakeholders, you will assess learning requirements, define desired outcomes, and design, develop, and deliver tailored learning solutions across relevant modalities to support implementation, build capability, and meet the needs of the project. This role is ideal for a collaborative, creative professional with strong instructional design expertise and the ability to translate business and learner needs into practical, effective learning experiences. This is a Full-time, Temporary role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Manager, Learning. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.
How You'll Make an Impact: Conducting needs assessments and gathering input from leaders, project teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to identify learning requirements, define desired outcomes, and shape practical learning solutions for the project Designing, developing, and delivering tailored learning assets across relevant modalities, including eLearning, microlearning, facilitator materials, job aids, presentations, and virtual or in-person learning experiences Leading the learning work for the assigned project by coordinating activities, managing deliverables, and adapting approaches to support audience needs and implementation timelines. Providing recommendations on learning design, development, and delivery approaches, and refining learning assets based on stakeholder feedback, project priorities, and implementation needs
What You’ll Bring to the Team: Post-secondary education or diploma in Adult Learning, Digital Media, or a related discipline Experience in learning and development, instructional design, or a similar builder-focused role Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and delivering engaging learning solutions across virtual, in-person, and self-directed formats Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and blended learning methodologies, with hands-on experience using LMS and e-learning tools Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and adapt in a fast-paced environment Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple deliverables and adapting to the evolving needs of a project Ability to gather input, translate requirements into practical learning solutions, and refine assets based on stakeholder feedback and project needs
Extra Skills That Set You Apart: Experience working in agile environments or applying agile methodologies Background in consulting or partnering with cross-functional stakeholders Experience working within business operations or on business-driven projects, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new platforms, tools, and processes

What You’ll Earn: This role offers a salary range of $69,700 to $86,100 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
