The Opportunity

Reporting to the Human Resources leadership team, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a trusted advisor to operational leaders and employees, supporting a diverse workforce across multiple locations. The successful candidate will play a key role in labour relations, employee engagement, policy interpretation, investigations, performance management, and collective agreement administration.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Partnership

Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to operational leadershipteams. Partner with managers to address employee relations matters and organizational challenges. Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture. Ensure compliance with applicable federal and provincial employment legislation.

Labour Relations

Actively support labour relations activities within a unionized environment. Assist with the interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements. Manage grievance processes and provide guidance on disciplinary matters. Participate in collective bargaining preparation and implementation activities.

Employee Relations & Investigations

Conduct workplace investigations related to employee concerns, misconduct, harassment, and policy violations. Provide recommendations and support resolution strategies. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive matters.

Performance &Compliance

Support performance management processes and leadership coaching. Assist leaders in addressing workplace challenges while ensuring legal and policy compliance. Promote best practices in employee management and workforce planning.

Qualifications

Required Experience Minimum 5 years of progressive Human Resources and/or Labour Relations experience. Experience supporting unionized workforces.Strong understanding of employment legislation and labour relations practices. Proven experience handling employee relations issues, investigations, and performance management matters.

Preferred Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. CHRP, CHRL, or equivalent designation considered an asset. Previous experience supporting multiple locations or field-based operations. Experience participating in collective bargaining activities is highly desirable.

The salary for this position is between $80,000–$90,000
