COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Canada) Inc. is a leading global ocean carrier with a rich history in the Canadian market. The company is launching a brand-new operation center, COSCO SHIPPING NAOC ? North America Operation Center, in Toronto, and we are seeking a hands-on, energetic and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to help build the team from the ground up and to assist with Human Resources functions for the operations center.

This is a full-time position based on 37.5 hours per week reporting to the manager of General Management Department of NAOC.

*Key Responsibilities *

• Provide recruitment coordination support, including onboarding and offboarding process
• Support a range of HR administrative functions, including maintaining employee records, organizational chart, attendance, vacation and documentation management
• Act as the first point of contact for employee HR inquiries and redirect requests where appropriate
• Assist with annual performance review process
• Coordinate training for staff as required by employment standards or applicable legislation
• Complete additional related HR tasks and special projects as assigned

*Skills/Requirement *

• Minimum 1-3 years of progressive HR experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Knowledge of employment standards and applicable legislation
• Strong organizational skill, ability to prioritize and multitask
• Proactive self-starter and problem solver
• Attention to details and handle confidential information professionally
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
