As the Director, Learning Services & Organizational Development, you will contribute to APS’s strategic priorities, leading an integrated portfolio that connects external education for APS Clients, internal learning services, organizational development, and change management. A Typical Day for the Director, Learning Services & Organizational Development In this role, your day will include meeting with senior leaders to understand organizational priorities, working with APS’s Clients to shape member and employer education strategies, developing programs to support learning and development outcomes, and guiding change management approaches for enterprise initiatives. You will move between strategic planning and practical execution, ensuring educational services, learning programs, and organizational development strategies are aligned, scalable, learner-centered, and responsive to evolving needs. You will also provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team responsible for external education, internal learning services, organizational development, and change management. Success in this role requires a collaborative leader who can build trusted relationships, influence across all levels of the organization, and translate the unique needs of different clients and learning audiences into clear, effective programs and services. Your knowledge of the defined benefit pension sector or related ecosystem, along with experience delivering results in a multi-client environment, sets you apart. What You Bring The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of strategic leadership, client relationship management, and technical expertise in learning, education, and organizational development in addtion to: • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Adult Learning, Human Resources, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. • Master’s degree or graduate studies in Organizational Development, Education, Adult Learning, Human Resources, or a related field would be considered an asset. • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in training, education, learning and development, organizational development, or a related field. • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience involving client relationship management and leading multidisciplinary teams. • Demonstrated experience leading delivery of enterprise learning, client education, organizational development, or change strategies in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. • Experience working with client groups, senior leaders, vendors, consultants, or external partners to design and deliver effective programs and services. • Related certifications or designations in adult education, organizational development, or human resources would be considered assets. • Experience in the defined benefit pension sector or a related ecosystem would be considered a strong differentiator and asset.
