Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) serves approximately 15,000 students each day at 40 in-person schools (33 elementary, one K-12; four 7-12, two secondary) and two virtual schools (K-8 and 9-12). Supporting student achievement is the goal of approximately 1,800 teaching and support staff who, along with the contributions of caring volunteers and community partners, share their passion for teaching and learning. The district covers a wide geographic area of 7,220 square kilometers bordered by Maynooth to the north, Deseronto to the east, Prince Edward County to the south, and Quinte West. Administer staffing portfolios by coordinating recruitment, selection, onboarding, employee transactions, and staffing data while ensuring compliance with legislation and collective agreements. Advise leaders and employees on staffing and employee relations, support union-management processes, and coordinate absence management, professional development funding, and mentoring programs.
