Job details

Independent 360 Recruiter / Recruitment Partner (Contract-to-Hire) Company: CTP (Choice Talent Partners) Location: Remote (Ontario-focused) Engagement Type: 3-Month Independent Contractor Agreement (T4A / B2B) Hours: Flexible, project-based up to a pre-approved cap of [e.g., 25 to 30] hours per week Compensation: $20.00 – $25.00 / hour (Based on experience) + 20% – 25% Commission Split on collected permanent fees About Us: We are a fully licensed recruitment startup, operating strictly under a compliant Ontario Recruiter License, we focus exclusively on high-impact Permanent, Direct-Hire placements for corporate clients across the province. As we scale our footprint, we are looking for our very first core partner—an entrepreneurial, autonomous 360-Degree Recruiter who wants to build a lucrative desk from the ground up. The Opportunity (Contract-to-Hire) This is an independent contract partnership for an initial 90-day trial phase. Because we operate with a lean infrastructure, we offer the best of both worlds: a guaranteed hourly safety net to cover your market-mapping and business development time, paired with an industry-leading commission split on every permanent placement fee you close. If you successfully secure client job mandates and drive direct-hire revenue during this 3-month run, this role is explicitly designed to transition into a permanent, foundational internal leadership position with the agency. Detailed Responsibilities (The 360 Loop) 1. Client Acquisition & Business Development (50%) Lead Generation: Build, segment, and clean targeted B2B prospect lists of hiring managers, HR directors, and talent acquisition leaders across Ontario. Cold Outreach: Execute strategic, multi-channel outreach campaigns including cold calling, personalized email sequences, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator messaging. Pitching & Agreement Negotiation: Present our agency's permanent placement value proposition, overcome fee objections, and secure signed Contingent or Retained Service Agreements (targeting standard 15%–20% fees). Account Management: Act as the primary point of contact for signed clients, conducting deep-dive intake calls to understand their precise technical and cultural requirements. 2. Candidate Delivery & Full-Cycle Recruitment (50%) Sourcing & Headhunting: Actively source passive talent using LinkedIn, local job boards, networking groups, and internal databases. Screening & Vetting: Conduct thorough phone and video interviews to assess candidate skills, salary expectations, motivation, and culture fit. Pipeline Management: Present qualified candidate shortlists to clients, coordinate client-side interviews, debrief both parties, and actively manage the feedback loop. Offer Closing: Facilitate final offer negotiations, reference checks, and resignation counseling to ensure a 100% placement close rate. Expected Weekly Activity Milestones To support your hourly invoices, you will be expected to autonomously maintain steady activity levels, typically aiming for: 30–50 targeted cold touches per day (mix of calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach). 1–2 new qualified job orders secured per month. 3–5 vetted candidate submittals per week across active job orders. What We Are Looking For 1–3+ years of agency recruitment experience in Ontario, with a verifiable track record in permanent/direct-hire placements. Proven Sales Grit: You are completely comfortable picking up the phone, bypassing gatekeepers, and hunting for new business. You do not rely on inbound leads. Independent Business Infrastructure: You operate as a sole proprietor or incorporated business, possess your own reliable home office setup (computer, phone, high-speed internet), and are comfortable submitting itemized weekly invoices for your logged hours. Startup Mindset: Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of operating without corporate micromanagement. What We Offer Hourly Base Protection: Reliable hourly pay for documented outreach and sourcing hours, minimizing your financial risk while building your pipeline. Aggressive Commission Splits: Earn a major percentage of the permanent placement fee (e.g., a single corporate fee translates to a massive commission payout for you)
