Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Co-op Student/Intern to join our HR team for an 8-month or 1-year work term. This internship offers hands-on experience across a variety of HR functions, providing a comprehensive understanding of the role HR plays in supporting organizational success. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and passionate about people and culture. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations & Engagement Help organize employee engagement initiatives and events. Assist in maintaining employee records and updating HR databases. Support reporting and compliance activities. HR Operations Assist with day-to-day HR administration, including employee file management and data entry. Support HRIS maintenance by updating employee information and generating reports. Help administer employee programs, policies, and HR processes. Assist with document preparation, audits, and ensuring accurate HR records. HR Projects & Reporting Contribute to HR projects such as policy reviews and process improvements. Prepare reports and presentations using HR data and metrics. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Assist with posting job openings, candidate searches and screening resumes. Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates. Support new hire onboarding activities. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program and eligible to complete a co-op work term as part of your academic requirements. Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources. Compensation: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
