The 100 best Canadian employers

Each year Mediacorp Canada publishes the ranking of the 100 best Canadian employers. The purpose of this competition? Assessing the work environment of participating companies.

Employer assessment for the top 100 from Mediacorp Canada is done through eight criteria, namely the physical work environment, the work atmosphere and social relationships, social benefits, holidays, internal communications, personnel management, skills management and community involvement.

This year, among the 100 employers that offer the best working conditions we find, like last year, for the banking sector: the Bank of Canada, the Desjardins Group and TD Bank. Among the cities, Ottawa and Vancouver also continue to be included in the ranking. In higher education, the University of Dalhousie, Simon Fraser University and the University of Toronto also return this year. McGill is out of the rankings while the University of New Brunswick comes in. Finally, of international groups, L’Oréal, Accenture, PwC and Xerox still remain on the list of the best employers.

Any Canadian company can propose its candidature to participate in the ranking, regardless of its size or sector of activity (public or private). The process of registration for the 2014 competition will be announced soon. For more information on the schedule: www.canadastop100.com.
