Location: Aurora, Ontario Department: Human Resources Reports to: Senior Manager, Corporate Human Resources About the Opportunity Our client, a well-established organization with a corporate office in Aurora, is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to join its Human Resources team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in supporting HR programs, policies, systems, and strategic initiatives. Acting as a trusted resource for employees and leaders, this individual will provide guidance across employee relations, performance management, compensation reviews, promotions, onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations. This role is well suited to a confident HR professional who can balance hands-on execution with the ability to coach and guide senior leaders through complex and sensitive HR discussions. Key Responsibilities Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a positive employee experience and the accurate completion of documentation and HR system updates. Administer compensation review and promotion processes, providing thoughtful recommendations and guidance to leaders. Lead performance management and goal-setting processes, including training, communications, completion tracking, and ongoing support. Serve as a trusted HR advisor to employees, managers, and senior leaders. Coach and guide leaders through employee relations matters, performance discussions, conflict resolution, organizational decisions, and the consistent application of HR policies. Respond to Workday and Ceridian Dayforce inquiries while supporting data integrity, reporting, and continuous process improvements. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop, implement, and manage HR policies, programs, employee meetings, and engagement initiatives. Support strategies that strengthen employee engagement, leadership capability, and workplace culture. Ensure HR practices remain aligned with applicable employment legislation and organizational policies. Qualifications Five or more years of progressive HR Generalist experience. Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. CHRP or CHRL designation. Proficiency with Workday and Ceridian Dayforce. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Sound knowledge of current Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices. Demonstrated ability to establish credibility and coach, influence, and guide senior leaders through complex HR matters. Strong analytical, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong judgment, discretion, and relationship-management capabilities. Ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced corporate environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working within a corporate office environment. Experience supporting a complex, matrixed, or multi-entity organization.
