Reporting to the Director–Human Resources Business Partners, you are responsible for developing and maintaining a strategic partnership relationship with your client groups and providing advisory services to them to support managers in achieving their organizational objectives. You guide managers in their role and in the development of their team leadership skills. You help optimize the strategic and positive influence of the Human Resources division on the work environment, attainment of expected organizational performance results, and transformation of the culture.

More specifically, you:

  • Have an excellent grasp of the issues and business reality of the assigned divisions by building a relationship of trust with the managers and actively participating in the operational meetings of these divisions;
  • Forge partnership relationships with your human resources colleagues in the centres of expertise and service centre to ensure that the new human resources service offering is deployed optimally and to maximize the "one-stop" approach for your clients;
  • Diagnose your clients' issues to provide managers with proactive human resources solutions that are integrated and aligned with strategic orientations;
  • Familiarize yourself completely with the various human resources programs, policies, practices and laws to play an advisory role with your clients and inform managers and employees;
  • Deploy all human resources programs and policies to your clients and measure the progress and results while ensuring that they are applied consistently;
  • Guide your clients and provide advice on skills management, performance management, succession planning, staff planning, recognition, mobilization and commitment;
  • Ensure that the specific needs and expectations of clients are communicated to other Human Resources division management, follow up and take the required action with managers requesting this information;
  • Act as a change agent to guide managers through the various organizational changes being implemented;
  • Encourage a healthy work environment by supporting managers in dealing with and solving various employee relations problems; monitor the environment by communicating information to the division involved, as well as to human resources management;
  • Analyze and interpret human resources performance indicators for each group of clients to provide strategic and proactive advice.


  • Bachelor's degree in industrial relations or human resources;
  • Five to seven years of experience as a human resources generalist. Experience in a unionized environment acquired in a medium to large company is an asset;
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés is a major asset;
  • Good command of the Microsoft Office software suite (especially Excel).

  • Recognized for your skills in understanding the organization, its culture and issues to influence and align proposed human resources solutions to strategic orientations;
  • Ability to collaborate with all stakeholders and find effective, innovative, creative and value-added solutions;
