ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Manager–Total Compensation and Employee Services, you contribute to attracting, mobilizing and retaining the organization's employees by proposing innovative and coherent compensation strategies that support business objectives. You play a key advisory role in interpreting policies and programs related to working conditions.

More specifically, you:

  • Act as an advisor and support Human Resources business partners with various requests related to compensation and organizational structure;
  • Conduct various research, monitoring and analysis using internal and external data;
  • Reply to external information requests regarding market studies or all other relevant requests, and make appropriate recommendations;
  • Perform job evaluations, recommend wage offers and ensure pay equity;
  • Prepare scenarios for the yearly review of salary parameters, make appropriate recommendations and ensure that they are implemented;
  • Take part in preparing and implementing various total compensation programs, directives and policies, make appropriate recommendations and communicate them;
  • Monitor the evolution of external compensation practices and legislation;
  • Ensure that rules of governance for the organizational structure are applied and issue the recommendations needed to improve the related processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or the equivalent;
  • Two to three years of compensation experience;
  • Fluency in spoken and written French;
  • Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés is an asset;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, especially Excel.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Thorough, independent, with a keen sense of organization;
  • Skilled in analyzing and synthesizing data;
  • Able to successfully manage several files simultaneously with various stakeholders;
  • Have regard for confidentiality and discretion;
  • Have experience in a unionized workplace;
  • Well versed in relevant laws and programs (Act respecting Labour Standards, Pay Equity Act, Québec Parental Insurance Plan, and others);
  • Knowledge of SAP is considered an asset.
