Technician, Human Resources

Working from the Corporate Office in downtown Montreal, you'll report to the Head of HR Operations and be part of a dynamic team of professionals. You'll execute HR processes for Corporate Office employees and support the dispensation of payroll and benefits.

In your role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Execute HR processes for Corporate Office employees, including annual salary review, short-term incentives, employee recognition program, vacation bank and budget process.
  • Ensure maintenance of the data and environment of the HR management system. Perform the necessary transactions to track the employee journey. Ensure the transfer of data between different systems of the company.
  • Manage HR welcome and onboarding sessions for new employees.
  • Respond to questions from managers, employees and suppliers regarding HR programs, including compensation, pension plans and benefits.
  • Participate actively in finding solutions for setting up and maintaining employee data in the various systems and automating processes in collaboration with the various stakeholders (suppliers, IT team).
  • Support the paymaster in payroll processing and perform payroll as needed during the absence of the paymaster.

As an ideal candidate:

  • You have a minimum of five years' experience in HR and payroll processes
  • You have a college diploma in accounting, administration or equivalent
  • Membership in the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) would be an asset
  • You have knowledge of human resources management and payroll software. Experience with Sigma HR and ADP Canada's ***@****. systems would be an asset
  • You are familiar with Microsoft Office software
  • You are fluent in French and English
  • You are conscientious, pay attention to details and strive for excellence
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
  • You are able to handle multiple files at once
  • You make sure you understand and respond to your customers' needs
  • You are flexible and have the ability to work in a complex environment
  • You demonstrate discretion and tact.
