WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LOOKS LIKE:

Managing the Full Recruitment Cycle

  • Accountable for the entire recruitment cycle for all roles within the Eastern and Central regions: networking, sourcing, resume reviews, scheduling and conducting interviews, creating offers, and overseeing the onboarding processes leading up to the new hires’ first day;
  • Leverage social media sites such as LinkedIn, Indeed etc., to proactively source and vet candidates for open positions;
  • Proactively build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline, particularly for targeted high demand roles;
  • Collaborate with the HR and Team Leaders to create meaningful, attractive job descriptions created to target key audiences;
  • Proactively provide status updates to hiring managers and weekly recruitment status reports to the HR and Regional Leaders;
  • Manage assigned roles on the platforms in which they appear to ensure the proper standards are met as well (i.e. tracking of clicks, traffic, applications, and collaborating with the proper resources to make the necessary adjustments);
  • Promote the company’s Employee Referral Program and create new ways to engage employees.
  • Assess needs/requests for pre-employment testing and research best options.

Relationship Building

  • Coordinate with Team Leaders to forecast department hiring needs;
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR Coordinator to ensure execution of the onboarding process;
  • Build relevant industry relationships through networking and social media.

  • Be an advocate for the BFL CANADA employer brand, making recommendations and driving the brand through communication with potential;
  • Participate in recruitment events such as career fairs, conferences and meet-ups to network with industry professionals;
  • Work to improve the overall execution of the ultimate candidate experience;
  • Ensure BFL is positioned as a top employer.

  • Recommend new, innovative means of sourcing top candidates where appropriate;
  • Thoroughly and proactively, document interactions, outreach, status, and screening results in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS);
  • Improve processes within the HR team and share best practices;
  • Integrate and respect organizational Diversity and Inclusion values throughout the Talent Acquisition process;
  • Provide training and support to Team Leaders to share best practices in recruitment and interviewing etiquette.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources or a related field;
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in recruiting for a variety of positions in a professional services environment, experience within Insurance is an asset;
  • Bilingual in English and French, with strong written and verbal communication in both languages;
  • Proven track record of attracting high-performing candidates;
  • Experience recruiting for multiple office locations;
  • A strong focus on the candidate experience and engagement;
  • Experience utilizing an ATS and social media platforms as a sourcing technique, throughout the recruiting process.
  • "Hands-on" experience with various interview formats (i.e., Skype for Business, phone, etc.).
  • Excellent communicator, enthusiastic and dynamic with excellent listening skills and the ability to create strong relationships;
  • An overall vision and philosophy oriented towards a diverse and strong cultural presence in the workplace;
  • Capacity to manage multiple positions at a time and be accountable to each concerned stakeholder;
  • Proactive, analytical and attention to detail;
  • Organizational skills as well as priority and time management skills;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite;
  • Strong ability to ensure confidentiality at all levels.
