Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) continues to grow across our business units in support of Canada's Aerospace and Defence Industry's most complex challenges. We are adding a key member to our Human Resources (HR) Leadership team – a team focused each day on enabling personal, professional and business success while sustaining a safe and engaging work environment for our employees.
Our Lockheed Martin Commercial Engines Solutions (CES) - Aeronautics business unit is adding a new HR leadership role to support our Montreal based organization. The successful candidate for this Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position will be the senior HR leader for our CES business unit. They will be integral member of the Lockheed Martin CES Senior Leadership team and serve as the trusted advisor to the General Manager for Lockheed Martin CES.
Reporting to the Head of HR for Lockheed Martin and Latin America, this role will lead HR strategy and world class HR service delivery through our team of HR professionals. This position will also collaborate and integrate with United States (US) and International HR colleagues in delivering a One HR solution to the Canadian workforce.
The Senior HRBP will be a champion of Lockheed Martin's culture and values, partnering with our business leaders on strategic human capital initiatives. The role will solve complex organizational challenges requiring data analysis and the development of innovative solutions to support and execute HR and the client’s organizational goals. They will work closely with client leaders to deliver HR initiatives and processes such as talent management, salary planning, performance management, promotion planning, and rewards & recognition to enable client groups to meet their business objectives.
This Senior HRBP will have experience in labour relations, leading in a unionized and complex workforce. They will be respected for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with unions, clients and a variety of stakeholders within the organization. Highly adaptable and able to recognize the need to be both operationally and strategically focused, the successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to provide timely advice while effectively managing their conflicting priorities. They will have demonstrated the ability to leverage tact and diplomacy when providing client guidance and applying best practices in HR management.
In order to be effective in this role, the Senior HRBP must consistently demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to interact with employees, including various levels of leadership. The Senior HRBP will engage with employees to confidentially address concerns and provide support to leadership in addressing employee relations and organizational issues promptly. This role will collaborate with HRBP leaders across Canada, integrate with HR Centres of Expertise to proactively deliver actionable human resource solutions to business opportunities.
Success in the position requires a track record of excellent judgment, strategic thinking, influencing skills, and results orientation. Critical to this role include the following: the capability to gain the trust and respect of executive leadership and employees while pursuing positive organizational goals and objectives, and the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with HR and business stakeholders.
This position will be a primarily an on-site position, however, flexibility may be possible subject to business requirements.
