Our Corporate Security & Responsibility, Communications, Human Resources, Procurement & Value Creation and Real Estate teams work collaboratively to drive our corporate strategy forward.

Reporting the a Health & Safety Director, the incumbent will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will oversee the management of the company’s Health & Safety Management System (H&SMS) as per the ISO 45001

In this position, the incumbent will work closely with its team members, colleagues and various business units within the company to:

  • Plan and oversee the components of the H&SMS, mainly (not exclusively) related to Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Training, Non-Compliance, Documentation and legal monitoring.
  • Coordinate the preparation and the monitoring of the annual Corporate Health and Safety Action Plan
  • Coordinate and prepare performance reports and presentation (quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports)
  • Ensure the support for corporate HS applications use to manage incident, hazards, workplace inspections and coordinate the development of the H&S knowledge validation application.

Essential skills / competencies

  • People management experience and ability to work remotely and be efficient at building virtual relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills (visual, content and delivery)
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with an attention to details
  • University degree in a field relevant to the position
  • Practical knowledge of the Canada Labor Code Part II, and associated regulations, as well as applicable provincial H&S legislation
  • Solid knowledge of the ISO 45001 standard
  • Experience in coordinating a Health and Safety management system

Requirements

  • Spoken and written fluency in English and French, essential
  • Relentless, well organized and thorough in performing tasks
  • Autonomous and comfortable with tight deadlines
  • High level of leadership with team spirit and collaboration skills
  • High capability to mobilize and influence stakeholders within the organization
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools, including advance skills in Excel and solid statistical analysis.

Assets

  • Good understanding of telecommunication industry health and safety aspects
  • Experience in H&S application development & adaption, ability to collaborate on IT solutions.

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
