We are looking for a Recruiter to support the needs and challenges of attracting and acquiring talent for all of our plants in Quebec and Ontario as well as our Montreal head office.

Reporting to the Talent Acquisition and Development, HR Manager, you will develop and implement strategies to identify, attract and recruit the best talent to help the organization grow.

You will work closely with on-site human resources managers as well as the management team to identify needs and plan and implement various solutions to promote EACOM as an employer of choice in schools and in the communities where we operate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify the needs of various internal groups and suggest solutions/strategies to attract and recruit the best talent.
  • Coordinate and optimize media placements to position EACOM as an attractive employer to a targeted audience based on needs.
  • Manage social media for our internal/external sites to help with their recruitment and sourcing needs.
  • Establish relationships with colleges, universities and vocational schools to promote EACOM and its career opportunities.
  • Establish and develop contacts with First Nations communities.
  • Identify and attend events (such as job fairs and conferences) that represent good talent acquisition opportunities for EACOM.
  • In collaboration with the internal communications team, develop messages and news items to promote positions and career opportunities at the company.
  • Manage the career section of the website as well as related recruitment and sourcing tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in human resources, administration, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the forestry or manufacturing industry.
  • Market knowledge and experience related to the forestry industry and softwood lumber sector are major assets.
  • Achievements in developing and implementing talent attraction and acquisition strategies, including direct recruitment (sourcing), for various job categories.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with information technology and social media.
  • Bilingualism (spoken and written).
  • Available to travel on a regular basis.
