Job Summary:

CSA Group is a private organization that offers technical certification services for products, based on electrical safety standards. Our Montreal office is currently looking for an engineer who can perform certification for the above-indicated products. He or she will be responsible for preparing quotes for the testing process, writing certification reports based on applicable standards and performing other job-related duties. Customers are located primarily in Quebec, the northeastern United States, Europe and Asia.

Main duties:

  • Assess compliance of the above-indicated products.

  • Formulate the laboratory test plan or witness tests performed on customers’ premises.

  • Write certification reports and issue compliance certificates.

  • Follow up with customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

  • Three (3) to seven (7) years’ experience.

  • Knowledge of CSA Group’s or other organizations’ certification standards and programs desirable.

  • Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.

  • Knowledge of Hazloc products an asset.

  • Bilingual French and English, oral and written.

  • Ability to manage several projects at once.

  • Good communicator, works easily as part of a team.
