CSA Group is a private organization that offers technical certification services for products, based on electrical safety standards. Our Montreal office is currently looking for an engineer who can perform certification for the above-indicated products. He or she will be responsible for preparing quotes for the testing process, writing certification reports based on applicable standards and performing other job-related duties. Customers are located primarily in Quebec, the northeastern United States, Europe and Asia.
Assess compliance of the above-indicated products.
Formulate the laboratory test plan or witness tests performed on customers’ premises.
Write certification reports and issue compliance certificates.
Follow up with customers.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
Three (3) to seven (7) years’ experience.
Knowledge of CSA Group’s or other organizations’ certification standards and programs desirable.
Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
Knowledge of Hazloc products an asset.
Bilingual French and English, oral and written.
Ability to manage several projects at once.
Good communicator, works easily as part of a team.
