Purpose

Known for his sense of analysis, his rigour and his autonomy, the incumbent coordinates and maintains the HR system (SAP) as well as the proper management of the benefits program.

He will support the managers, the employees and the Human Resources team. The Technician will also be the main contact for all questions concerning the human resources activities, including the various programs offered by the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and validate the information in the HR system (SAP), e.g. the creation of employee files, the many changes related to both staff and positions, etc.;
  • Manage the eligibility, follow-up and answer employee questions concerning the different benefits offered such as : insurances, RRSP, Blue Pass, etc.;
  • Answer all employees questions related to the Human Resources policies and programs; 
  • Act as the liaison between the insurer and the employees when there are changes or questions;
  • Keep updated the group insurances computerized system (CBM);
  • Generate, distribute and analyse different reports related to his population;
  • Coordinate the follow-up of all deadlines with the Human Resources team; 
  • Take part in the presentation of benefits to the new employees;
  • Ensure the filing of documentation related to the employee files.

Requirements

  • DEC in administration, option human resources or equivalent education;
  • 3 to 5 years minimum experience in similar role within a unionized environment;
  • Bilingualism essential, French and English, spoken and written;
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP HR module;
  • Pertinent experience in benefit coordination;
  • High proficiency with MS Office softwares;
  • Ability to manage priorities within a high workload environment;
  • Ability to work simultaneously on different project; 
  • Ability to create reports, tables, diagrams;
  • Customer oriented, autonomous, resourceful and organisable skill.
