Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, as the Director of Talent Management you will focus on crafting a significant, positive and satisfying experience to employees through various initiatives on all aspects of the employee life cycle. You will speak on behalf of the employee experience for all employees, champions a staff perspective to our leaders, and advocates for different ways to accomplish operational goals. You will be a great fit with the Company's culture and you will recruit and nurture talented individuals accordingly.
Overview of your role
Lead the organizational Employee Experience strategy with the objective of increasing and sustaining LANDR's ability to attract and retain top talent
Implement the appropriate people structure to achieve the company's vision and support the values of the company
Clarify role and responsibilities across the organization and ensure clear understanding and accountability for such role and responsibilities
Ensure that the organizational core competencies drive employee and organizational success
Sit on the company's management team and report at the company's management meetings
Breathe and live the values of the company in everything we do!
Participate in the company's annual strategic planning exercise
Talent acquisition – Together with the executives and managers of each department
Refine the talent acquisition/recruitment strategies to meet the company's immediate and forecasted staffing requirements
Design and draft role and responsibilities of new openings as well as appropriate profile, skills and qualifications
Lead talent acquisition process and recruitment and provide advice for salary positioning, job offers, and salary negotiation
Develop and manage organizational relationships with external agencies and vendors, if need be
Establish and manage relationships with educational institutions for cooperative programs, summer student programs, and direct hires
Produce various reports supporting talent acquisition activities for company leadership
Onboarding of new talent
Implement best-in-class onboarding programs taking account the needs of each department
Supports and assist managers in the welcoming, orientation and training areas for new employees
Ensure systematic follow-up of the integration of new employees
Talent development – Together with the executives and the managers of each department
Provide guidance into the identification of training requirements for each function
Design, develop and implement an individual development plan for each employee
Create innovative development programs for all employees as well as specific programs for each department
Coach executives and managers of each department on various leadership topics
Performance management and incentives
Promote and lead the R.O.A.D Program to ensure consistent performance management practices and processes
Lead the monthly salary review process
Ensure constant and open communication with the employee through weekly employee engagement survey (Officevibe) to supports understanding of the Employee Experience, how that experience impacts culture and how our culture impacts business performance.
Drive the bi-annual review process in partnership with the managers of each department and the broader management team
Aggregate data from all departments to develop human capital based KPI's to drive departmental and organizational performance
Social activities, diversity, and inclusion – Together with the Culture Promoter
Take an active role in the social committee composed of employees from various departments
Develop and implement the company's approach to diversity and inclusiveness, embedding the diversity lens and promoting initiatives across the organization
Plan and organize team building activities
With prior HR management experience, you possess strong capabilities across all HR generalist functions and a sound understanding of the new trends that drive the best work environment. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and ideally, you will have experience working in startups.
