Position title: Senior Analyst, Process Improvement

Location: Montreal

Reports to: Director, HR Project Management & Process Improvement

The Senior Analyst, Process Improvement (PI) is responsible to improve HR processes ensuring cross-functional participation and alignment. This includes analyzing current processes, identifying opportunities planning and leading workshops, documenting updated process flows and capturing actions. In addition, this role is responsible to set timeline to address identified actions and drive completion by all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to establishing open and collaborative environment throughout the PI process to foster full participation, developing a culture of accountability toward completing identified actions, facilitating complex discussions. In addition, this role is responsible to develop & maintain process improvement templates and tools, train users and ensure adherence to standard.

This role also includes a project management component, for general HR initiatives as well as for PI opportunities. Responsibilities include managing scope and timeline to ensure successful (on-time,quality) project delivery. The PI Sr Analyst will lead diverse teams of project stakeholders at all levels of the organization and across a broad set of Domtar functions.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Research processes to be improved: analyze current issues, identify required stakeholders, problem-solve/identify alternatives.
  • Prepare structured workshop agendas and material with clear improvement objectives.
  • Lead workshops with participants cross-functional participants from multiple levels of the organization. Establish trust and credibility to create environment of sharing & willingness to change.
  • Facilitate and negotiate resolutions to current process issues. Document outcomes, clear actions & owners.
  • Lead initiatives (PI or general HR): manage scope, timeline and budget to ensure on-time project delivery. Develop positive team dynamics and efficient project monitoring.
  • Support HR project prioritization process (project intake & evaluation etc).
  • Develop methodology (templates & tools) for delivering process improvement services. Ensure adherence in their use.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree;
  • 5-7 years of process improvement and/or project management experience; 2 of those years with proven success in business process mapping;
  • In depth process improvement experience;
  • Proven leadership ability;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Strong project management skills.
