Position Summary

Providing generalist HR support to the Distribution Center and Warehouse (DC/WH) operations, the incumbent will be responsible for answering to employee and manager HR questions as well as carrying out various administrative HR tasks. In their role the HR Coordinator's efforts will be focused on but not limited to employee relations, health and safety, recruitment, training, and payroll and benefits.

Key Accountabilities

  • Act as a first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR questions;
  • Assist in employee relations and disciplinary cases;
  • Manage CNESST claims and track H&S statistics;
  • Update Employee files;
  • Prepare employment confirmation letters;
  • Request and deliver offers of employment and promotion letters;
  • Participate in the onboarding process of new hires, conduct integration, retention and exit interviews for DC/WH employees;
  • Assist employees with their portal access;
  • Ensure employees have valid work or study permits;
  • Track various documents and reports;
  • Participate in HR and corporate projects;
  • Provide back up for HR systems, background check requests, and health and safety disability files; and
  • Execute any other additional support required by the HR team as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration and/or a related program is mandatory;
  • Three (3) years of experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in a DC or WH environment is an asset;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills, with proven ability to handle multiple requests in tight deadlines, a strong attention to detail with ability to produce accurate reports;
  • Resourceful and autonomous;
  • Proficiency of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook);
  • Knowledge of SAP and Kronos, an asset; and
  • Bilingual in English and French (written and oral).
