Payroll Technician

Artemis is on the search! We are currently looking for a Payroll Technician for one of our clients located in Dorval. This is a permanent job offering great possibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Open employee files, assign employee numbers and access codes;
  • Collect, calculate and enter payroll data in the payroll system;
  • Process employee time and attendance data;
  • Participate in the year end cycle process, reviewing and validating R1 and T4 statements;
  • Verify accuracy of payroll before transmission and upon receipt;
  • Handle pay related enquiries from employees and managers;
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies resulting from payroll review;
  • Maintain and update employee data in workforce;
  • Register new participants to the insurance group program;
  • Close employee files including the preparation of record of employment;
  • Review CSST/garnishment related documents and calculate payment to be issued;
  • Run various payroll related reports;
  • Handle ad hoc payroll or benefits projects and request.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of payroll experience, benefits, administration;
  • Prior experience working with ADP workforce (preferred);
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically excel;
  • High customer service focus;
  • Strong communication and organization skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team;
  • Fluent in French and English.
