C.A.T. Inc., a transportation company in business for over 42 years, is looking for a dynamic candidate for the following opportunity in Coteau-du-Lac;

Driver Recruitment Manager - Class 1 drivers


  • To achieve Driver staffing objectives that will ensure that the C.A.T. Group of companies have enough safe and professional drivers to meet the needs of our current and future
  • Manage and direct the activities of the C.A.T. recruiting teams
  • Increase the visibility, brand and profile of C.A.T. across Canada and U.S.
  • Continually explore innovative recruiting strategies


Duties will include, but are not limited to, managing and directing the activities of the recruiting teams to ensure the following:

  • Ensure appropriate processes are in place to determine all manpower needs are clear for all
  • Ensure that all new driver interviews are conducted according to a rigorous protocol so all candidates meet the required hiring criteria;
  • Ensure the completion of: 
    • proper pre-employment reference and performance checks
    • Candidate road tests
    • Pre-employment drug screens
  • Ensure good coordination of recruiting related resources with Safety department
  • Develop KPI metrics to scorecard effectiveness
  • Develop profile metrics and promote the use of online pre-employment psychometric testing for all driver candidates identified for hiring
  • Ensure that new Driver orientation is consistently delivered
    • Work with Safety department to ensure that orientation materials are up to date
  • Ensure accurate Driver turnover statistics are maintained for all locations


  • 7 to 10 years of experience in a recruitment role
  • 2 years' experience in management and managing a team
  • Be dynamic and results oriented
  • Bilingual (French and English), with superior communication skills
  • Be process driven, organized , with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to effectively manage the recruiting budget to maximize results while controlling expense
  • Must be able to travel 5-10% and have a valid passport
