The Tissue Group, a division of Cascades, is the second-largest tissue producer in Canada and the fifth-largest in North America. The Division manufactures, converts and markets a huge selection of paper products, such as hand towels, bathroom tissue, facial tissue, napkins, paper towels, wipers and dispensers for the North American away-from-home and consumer products markets. The Group has more than 2,200 employees and operates seven manufacturing plants, nine conversion plants and four plants with both manufacturing and conversion facilities.

Your challenge!

Reporting to the Regional Director of Human Resources, Canada, the HR Director, Succession Team will have the following responsibilities:

  • Implement the human resources management strategies, practices and processes applicable to his/her unit;
  • Define the human resources needs of his/her unit and propose action plans and their implementation;
  • Support managers in the management of their human resources;
  • Support the strategy for the development of talent and succession;
  • Support the maintenance of a healthy and safe work environment for all employees in the unit;
  • Foster and promote Cascades' ethical behaviours, culture and values;
  • Ensure the replacement of the payroll during the pay technician's vacation

  • Ensure the reliability and completeness of relevant information
  • Foster and promote Cascades' ethical behaviors, culture and values

Client Focused and Innovation

  • Draw inspiration from Human Resources management best practices to innovate

Additional information

The HR Director, Succession Team must have;

  • Rigour and teamwork;
  • Organized, available and initiative;
  • University education in industrial relations or human resources;
  • Good knowledge of the Windows environment;
  • Bilingualism required.

Workplace: Mobility is required for this position, however, the first assignment will be at the Candiac plant.

Thereafter, the HR Director, Relief Team will have to travel to Quebec to Lachute, Laval Granby or Kingsey Falls
