Longview Aviation Capital Corporation was established in 2016 to manage a portfolio of long-term investments in the Canadian aerospace industry. Longview Aviation Capital Corporation is focused on providing world-class aviation products and services in support of legendary Canadian aircraft designs through prominent aerospace companies including Viking Air Limited.
In November 2018, Longview Aviation Capital Corporation agreed to acquire, through an affiliate, the entire Dash 8 program including the 100, 200 and 300 series and the in-production Q400 program from Bombardier Inc. Also included as part of the transaction are rights to the de Havilland name and trademark in an all-Canadian transaction. Once completed, this $300-million dollar deal will make Longview North America's largest commercial turbo-prop aircraft manufacturer.
The Vice President, Human Resources is responsible to the Chief Operating Officer to provide strategic leadership and expert advice to Longview Aviation Capital Corporation – de Havilland management on human resources issues and provide human resources leadership to support and enhance the company's competitiveness in its marketspace, and will be engaged with approximately 1,200 employees.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned human resource generalist with senior level leadership experience gained within a unionized organization with parallels to Longview Aviation Capital Corporation – de Havilland. They will be passionate about the role a human resources function plays as the "soul" of a business with a performance-driven culture. They will think in future terms, developing a human resources vision and strategy that will support the organization in achieving its strategic goals and objectives.
