About You:

You are an outgoing, passionate meticulous and tech savvy trainer. You are a team player responsible for developing, maintaining, tracking, coordinating and delivering training for Sunwing Airlines airport teams. You will report to the Manager of Customer Experience, Compliance & Training. As a Training and developing Specialist, you have excellent computer skills and are well versed in Microsoft Office programs as well as training development software. You are proactive, innovative, and thrive in a fast-paced changing environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support and deliver Airport Services Training in a classroom and online environment at airports across the network
  • Initiate and provide all training needs to new airports joining the network to ensure operational and administrative readiness prior to start up.
  • Ensure training material and exams reflect current operating procedures.
  • Oversee the Train the Trainer program.
  • Providing continuous improvement for our training program.
  • Liaising the De-icing training and compliance program.
  • Manage Training Records to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain department training forms and templates.
  • Ensure an accurate and up to date Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders regarding airport processes.
  • Evaluate and identify differences in training needs for Wet/Damp lease operations with partner airlines.
  • Provide coaching and operational support to frontline staff at airports.
  • Review, evaluate and modify proposed and existing programs based on audit trends, operational changes, and feedback.
  • International travel may be required
  • Co-ordinate training events (locations, schedule, agenda etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Ability to obtain a Transport Canada Security Clearance (Mandatory)
  • Post Secondary Education in training, aviation management or equivalent aviation experience
  • Excellent facilitation and instructing skills.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years operational experience in aviation environment
  • Excellence spoken and written English. Other languages (Spanish/French) an asset.
  • Experience with training development and training software preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite products.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
