We are currently seeking a Training and Development Specialist to join the Teva Canada team!
The Training and Development Specialist will partner with Consultant, Training and departmental Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop, facilitate and evaluate training programs for GMP and GMP support teams related to GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), operational procedures and processes, equipment, CAPA and/or other training initiatives.
Training Curriculum Design & Development
Design, develop and implement training programs/materials (including equipment training programs, as required and e-learning courses) in accordance with the Learning & Development Process by working with the Training Consultant and internal SMEs/external resources.
Incorporate experiential learning into the design of equipment courses to ensure a practical “hands-on” style of training.
Program design includes: Instructor-led, online/e-learning and blended learning methods.
Coordinate, schedule and communicate site training.
Deliver Instructor- led training (in accordance with the Learning & Development Process) on GMPs, compliance, procedures/processes, equipment, error reduction, CAPA and other identified training initiatives, as applicable.
Monitor effectiveness of training programs by conducting Level 3 Evaluations.
Schedule and communicate site training for all shifts, in consultation with Shift Supervisor.
Deliver On-the-Job Training Program and mentor qualified ‘on-the-job’ trainers.
New Hire On-boarding / Cross-Training / Career Ladders Program
Support scheduling, coordinating and delivering of On-Boarding program, Cross-training and/or Career Ladders Program, for each site, in conjunction with site department designates/On-the-Job Trainers, as applicable.
Partner with Floor Supervisors, On-the-Job Trainers and New Hires to ensure onboarding checklist is complete.
Other Training Support
Develop training materials, as applicable, for critical procedural changes working with a department SME.
Provide training support/coaching, as required.
Support Inspection Ready Program.
Support internal/external audits, as required.
Provide back-up LMS Admin support (eg. course deployments, creating new user accounts, learner & curriculum management, running reports, etc.) to LMS/Training Coordinator.
Minimum Post-Secondary diploma/degree, ideally in a related field; Certificate in Adult Education preferred.
3+ years’ experience in Training & Development.
2+ years pharmaceutical industry experience.
Able to effectively train others on procedures, methods and GMPs according to Health Canadian and FDA (Food & Drug Administration - USA) regulations.
