What will your typical day look like?

The role of Global Tax & Legal Talent Manager includes:

  • Supporting the appropriate/relevant Global Tax & Legal Leaders and key stakeholders with the strategic direction of Talentinitiatives that need to be undertaken to advance the GT&L Strategy.
  • Leadership of specific projects and initiatives within each of the Growth, Transformation and Brand pillars of the Tax & Legal strategy. This will include, but not be limited to, talent needs analyses, research of best and leading practices (both within and outside of Deloitte), solution design, testing and roll-out, supporting member firm local implementation of solutions, evaluation of success and validation of progress. Program success will be dependent upon defining and building (or
  • sourcing) agile solutions, rapid deployment, member firm/service line adoption and implementation.
  • Identify appropriate subject matter experts (both internal and external) and manage relationship with such individuals to ensure timely creation and delivery of appropriate solutions.
  • Work with other Talent professionals to contribute to and shape the debate on talent challenges facing Deloitte.
  • Input into operational management of the Global Tax & Legal Talent team, including resourcing, performance management and
  • development of team members, as appropriate.
  • The role will initially include leading on the following specific projects:
    • Shaping the point of view on Future of Work in Tax & Legal
    • Researching, designing and rolling out various Employee Value Propositions for Tax & Legal required to grow and transform the business
    • Advising on and defining the global approach to talent transfers as part of Operate in Tax & Legal
    • Teaming with other specialists in the Global Tax & Legal Office to support increased member firm and service line use of Delivery Centers
    • Representing Tax & Legal on cross-business committees responsible for the co-ordinated and consistent roll out of Global Talent Standards
    • Working with key stakeholders to define launch deliverables (including technologies) and communications process needed to activate Global Talent Standards effectively in member firm Tax & Legal practices
    • Teaming with other specialists in the Global Tax & Legal Office to drive the adoption of the Global Tax & Legal
    • Common Storefront and the culture change required
    • Researching, designing and rolling out the Tax & Legal point of view on recommended new Talent Model frameworks to support different practitioner profiles required to support transformation of the business
    • Co-ordination and management of the Global Tax & Legal Talent Board, with a view to encouraging collaboration, consistency and transparency across the Tax & Legal Talent network.
  • The role includes occasional travel to lead and attend project meetings, to meet and build relationships with key stakeholders and obtain buy-in for strategic objectives and project progress and implementation.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • A degree level, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Additional professional qualification. HR or Talent (or technical Tax or Legal) related preferred.
  • Ideally 5+ years working in a HR/talent environment.
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders in the business.
  • Experienced project manager used to working in multicultural environment.
  • Excellent English language proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Experience working with professional practice is preferred, additionally working knowledge of Deloitte Tax & Legal function would be an added benefit.
  • Experience working with a global / regional stakeholders including experience delivering projects/initiatives to multicountry personnel desirable.
  • Extensive skills, knowledge and business acumen to make an impact in key areas such as change management, organizational design, employee engagement and strategic workforce planning, talent analytics and management, ensuring fairness and consistency runs throughout
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at the most senior levels within the Tax & Legal practice
