The restaurant industry in particular has been severely impacted by the pandemic, and the adoption of technology has become essential to the industry’s survival. 7shifts has supported restaurants with labor management tools through the pandemic, and have seen record growth as a company as the industry steadily recovers. We are looking for a passionate, people oriented Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team and our mission to simplify labor management and improve performance for restaurants everywhere. In this role, you will help build out processes, lead searches and partner closely with managers and leaders to attract, select and retain talent.

What you’ll do:

  • Full cycle recruiting in a fast-paced environment; taking candidates from initial sourcing/outreach through to offer extension for multiple roles across various departments
  • Provide a seamless recruiting process with a prioritization on ensuring each candidate has a positive experience; provide feedback at each stage of the hiring journey
  • Work closely with departments across the organization to identify current and upcoming vacancies, develop recruitment strategies, and provide support with creating job descriptions, the interview process, etc.
  • Identify the best channels for internal and external advertising of job openings
  • Bring a passion for connecting with people and building relationships with both candidates and hiring managers
  • Educate: train and coach our hiring leaders on recruitment best practices
  • Strengthen our employer brand & stay on top of current SaaS perks and trends
  • Administer background checks
  • Lead Immigration efforts (GTS/PNP)
  • Curate networking events & open houses in a post-COVID world
  • Gather feedback regarding candidate interview experiences and work with managers to continuously improve the hiring process

What you have:

  • Experience as a recruiter in a SaaS company or high growth environment
  • Post-Secondary education in Human Resources
  • The ability to balance multiple roles with urgency and care
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment and sourcing tools such as: BambooHR and LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.

It’d be even cooler if you had:

  • Proficient in Apple products, Google Suite and Microsoft
  • Excellent organizational skills and data reporting - provide regular updates/reports on status of open roles & related metrics

Our team is fully supported in working remotely. We have protocols in place for those who wish to work out of our Saskatoon, Toronto, or Hoboken New Jersey offices. When it’s safe to do so, Shifties will be able to work where they work best, whether that’s fully remote, or working from the office on a hybrid basis or fully in-office.

Our People and Culture team has transitioned the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes to be fully virtual. We’ve added dozens of Shifties to the team since then.
