Solertia is currently looking to hire a Human Resources Consultant based in Toronto, Ontario, who can draw upon their expertise for the benefit of the firm's clients.

Job Description:

Under the guidance of the Ontario Division Manager, the HR Consultant will be accountable for assisting with a variety of HR mandates. In addition to building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, he or she will be required to provide counsel and acts as a trusted advisor on a large number of HR topics, including Legal Compliance and Labour Relations.

On a regular basis, the HR Consultant will be required to:

 

  • Assess clients' needs and gain a complete understanding of projects and tasks at hand;
  • Plan and coordinate mandates to ensure timely delivery of projects and liaise with stakeholders to ensure consistency of data and output;
  • Brainstorm with consulting team in order to propose recommendations to clients;
  • Manipulate large quantities of multi-source data in Excel using Pivot tables and VLookup;
  • Identify inconsistencies and gaps within the stated requests and collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requests;
  • Create slide decks and presentations using various presentation software;
  • Participate in the development and improvement of tools and services offered by the Firm;
  • Develop sustainable business partnerships with the firm's clients and internal team;
  • Provide coaching and expert advice to clients in the specific areas of; Disability Management, Labour Relations.

Ideally the successful candidate will have good working knowledge of and experience in employment legislation (ESA, AODA, OHSS, Human Rights Code, etc.), advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and excellent communication skills in order to promote the firms services and deliver final results of projects.

  • Customer-service focus;
  • Travel 10%.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Commerce or equivalent;
  • CHRP designation;
  • 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist role or equivalent;
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office; Advanced level of Excel mandatory;
  • Mastery of written and spoken English (conversational French, an asset);
  • Experience in Compensation and/or Pay Equity, an asset;
  • Experience in Employment Terminations, an asset.
