Description

In partnership with the Business Leaders, the Talent Advisor will drive business results through the development and implementation of talent strategies and solutions. This role will provide the strategic and effective management of talent for Leaders within a designated Service Area/ region. The incumbent will act as a key contributor to deliver on our Talent Advisory experience and priorities through the following accountabilities:

Develop Leadership Capabilities:

Drive Performance & Development

  • Partner with business leaders to identify top talent and top performers; accelerate the growth and development of top talent and top performers through individualized development planning
  • Accelerate business results through the alignment of top talent and top performers to priority accounts
  • Enable a culture of strengths by driving the Reinvented Performance Management (RPM) experience across the firm

Develop Management & Leadership

  • Create a leadership development culture through the enhancement of manager and leader capability and performance
  • Enable firm leaders to become skilled and effective people leaders and performance managers
  • Ensure the firm’s long term strategies and priorities are enabled with inclusive succession plans for key leadership roles

Improve Speed & Quality of Hire

  • Enable the business to meet growth and transformation plans through effective workforce planning including leveraging market intelligence, alternative delivery models, and talent metrics to understand and share people insights
  • Ensure the firm is hiring the best talent by enabling business leaders and recruiters to understand, articulate and identify success criteria
  • Bring a “One Talent” approach to the recruiting process by collaborating effectively across Talent to remove hiring barriers, drive quality, and address the unique needs of the business; ensure recruiting is clear on business priorities they are recruiting for

Accelerate time to Competency

  • Enable practitioner success by ensuring key performance outcomes are directly linked to business priorities
  • Enable the achievement of business priorities through ensuring performance expectations are well understood and embedded in our performance management, compensation and promotion processes
  • Reduce time to contribution for the firm’s senior hires through the development and execution of effective onboarding practices

Drive High Impact Business Solutions through Data and Insights:

Plan and Analyze Data

  • Contribute to and lead the development of data driven people plans that are aligned to business priorities and strategies
  • Align compensation decisions to the firm’s compensation philosophy by advising leaders on compensation strategy including market data reviews, management of internal equity, compensation decisions and budgets

Create and Enable an Exceptional Employee Experience

Develop and Enable an Optimal Culture

  • Drive a culture of inclusion by ensuring talent solutions and strategies allow all practitioners to feel involved, respected, valued and connected
  • Reflect the Talent Value Proposition (TVP) in our business and talent practices and ensure talent solutions and strategies are aligned with the TVP

Deliver an Exceptional Employee Experience

  • Positively influence the employee experience by partnering with business leaders to ensure “Moments that Matter” are exceptionally managed and delivered
  • Continuously enhance and improve the employee experience through effective management of workplace conflicts

Improve Career Development & Experiences

  • Drive individual and firm performance by developing exceptional coaching capabilities across the firm
  • Enable the business and Talent Acquisition to effectively promote career experience possibilities at the firm

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of progressive HR /business experience demonstrating knowledge of all functions of human resources including talent development, performance management, policy development, succession planning, compensation, recruitment strategy and the ability to effectively leverage centres of expertise to meet business requirements
  • Business acumen

  • Ability to work effectively in a highly complex and matrixed partnership.
  • Strong leadership, relationship management skills, ability to build relationships with global networks
  • Resiliency to handle shifting priorities and maintain demeanor in high intensity situations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Bilingualism (English/French and/or English/Spanish) is considered an asset
  • Capable in Microsoft Office tool set i.e.: Excel, Power point, Word
  • Relevant university degree and CHRP designation or equivalent knowledge/experience
