What will your typical day look like?

In FY20, the Chief People and Culture Office (CCPO) developed a Culture and People Strategy for 2023 – a roadmap that will guide enablement the broader firm Category of One strategy by inspiring and empowering our people and delivering “I only could have done it at Deloitte” experiences.

The Specialist, Partner and Alumni Experience, will create value for leaders and alumni of the firm by managing and enabling an exceptional experience throughout the life cycle of their time with Deloitte and after. This person will work directly with the Manager, Senior Manager and Director of the Partner Advisory & Alumni team to support the Deloitte Alumni Network and Talent activities for partners. This role will also work closely with Talent Directors and members of the Marketing, People Experience, Workplace Experience, Partner Accounting and Independence as needed.

In this role, you will be accountable for:

  • Monitoring the Deloitte Alumni email inbox and act as a first point of contact for all Alumni inquiries which may include directing our Alumni to the right department
  • Collaborating with our Marketing teams to ensure that content on the Alumni portal, invitations to events, and content for the Alumni newsletter are provided on a regular basis
  • Supporting the Alumni strategy and implementing new initiatives as agreed to by the Office of the CCPO, and the Partner and Alumni Experience team
  • Collaborating with the broader Partner and Alumni Experience team on various activities such as documenting, tracking and processing partner movements; working with internal teams (People Experience, Benefits, Partner Accounting, Finance) to execute tasks associated with partner movements and the Direct Admission of Partners
  • Supporting the broader Partner and Alumni Experience team on projects as needed
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase productivity
  • Representing the Partner and Alumni Experience team on CCPO projects and initiatives

The Chief Culture and People Office (CCPO) delivers business-focused, efficient and innovative programs focused on bringing on our “I could have only done it at Deloitte” people promise to life. The transformed CCPO function consists of Business Experience (HR Business Partners), People Experience (HR Operations) and an agile Workplace Experience Centre of Expertise (CoE), supported by dedicated: Learning & Development; Partner and Alumni; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Digital & Data; and, Culture & Change functions. Together these teams bring a diverse set of capabilities to create a fundamentally different talent experience that is powered by digital, data-driven, employee-centric, leading practice, and enabled from the centre.v

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • Previous experience in Human Resources (2-5 years)
  • University degree or college diploma with a concentration in Human Resources preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Fluent spoken and written English; French language skills are a strong asset

You are someone who has:

  • Ability to learn other platforms and systems for content publishing and email distribution (CRM, Eloqua)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to consistently deliver high quality client service in a polished and professional manner
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities and execute successfully on deliverables in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment, often with tight deadlines
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information with diplomacy and discretion
  • Excellent organizational & prioritization skills
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively as well as the ability to work on own initiative
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for continuous learning relevant to the role
  • Flexibility to work overtime if required
