Nasittuq is currently bidding on the contract for the Operation & Maintenance of the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON.

This job posting is being advertised in advance of award of a contract. Employment is contingent upon Nasittuq being awarded the contract.

The Inuit Benefits Manager is responsible for guaranteeing that contractually required Inuit Benefits are achieved and for the development and successful implementation of an Inuit Training and Development Plan.

  • Prepare, implement, and administer an NWS Inuit Benefits Management Plan.
  • Consult and assess with internal departments on Inuit training and development position requirements.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviews, and selection process for Inuit personnel.
  • Provide guidance to Inuit personnel in the training and development program.
  • Work with Inuit organizations regarding training, employment, and business opportunities, which include subcontracting and procurement.
  • Develop reports on actual Inuit Benefit commitments for submission to the Government.


  • Beneficiary from the Inuvialuit, Nunavut, or Labrador Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement (CLCA)
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience related to development of socio-economic benefits programs.
  • Good working knowledge of Land Claim Agreements.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage priorities with attention to detail and work cross-culturally
  • Computer literate in MS applications, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidates must be Canadian citizens, be eligible and maintain Level (II) SECRET security clearance.
