The Human Resources Business Partner will be a trusted business partner and collaborative advisor on all things people related for an assigned client group. The HR Business Partner works closely with the assigned leaders to understand and support their business strategies. As a change agent and partner to the leadership team, the HR Business Partner will bring expertise in the areas of workforce planning, organization design, employee engagement, succession planning and organizational effectiveness.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Contribute to the business strategy by helping Innovapost leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes
• Work with the assigned leaders and teams to develop and implement people strategies, programs, and policies that support organizational objectives

• Guide and coach the senior management team in all people-related matters with the goal of helping them achieve their business outcomes by providing expert advice, mediation and solutions
• Translate business objectives into human capital solutions, and work with the HR team to ensure Human Resources programs and service deliverables align with and support the goals and objectives of business client teams

Facilitate proactive dispute resolution that supports a performance driven culture and, as needed, investigate employee issues and determine resolutions
• Provide guidance and input on organization design, workforce planning and succession planning
• Act as a liaison between Innovapost leaders and HR team to ensure that HR services are aligned with Innovapost leaders needs
• Provide leadership and direction to the HR function as a member of the HR leadership team
• Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends
• Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across HR functions to facilitate continuous improvement

Critical Skills and Competencies Characteristics

• Post-secondary degree in Human Resources Management or recognized equivalent of education and experience.

• CHRP or CHRL (Asset)

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR, preferably in an HR partner role

• Experienced in collaborating with multiple stakeholders internally; work with all types of organization stakeholders including senior executives, managers, business partners and technical staff
• In depth HR business knowledge with the ability to adapt best practices into practical solutions; significant knowledge of human resource functional areas and policies/practices
• Knowledge of change management methodologies, standards and tools in organization
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinker with good creative, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong ability to effectively influence a diverse team of stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written / verbal)
• Ability to identify new ways for HR to support the business strategy
