As an HR Professional you will provide advice, guidance, information and services to management and employees with specific responsibility in the areas of staffing, classification, job analysis and organizational design. You will report to an HR Operations Teal Lead, where together you will support and enhance the organization’s HR Operation’s client service delivery, under the direction of a strong and supportive HR Management team.
As a member of the Human Resources Division, serving on a shared services basis two (2) Councils: the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), you will be the first point of contact for directors, managers and employees of a designated portfolio, providing strategic advice, information and professional services in all areas of human resources management in a generalist capacity. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable relevant to this position, OR an acceptable combination of education, experience or training relevant to the position.
Experience in providing operational HR advisory services
Experience researching and analyzing legislation, policies and industry best practices to provide advice and recommendations to management;
Experience working with clients to develop plans and strategies in one or more areas of HR management
Experience in job evaluation, job analysis and/or organizational design;
Experience with the Hay Group Job Evaluation System.
