The HR Business Partner, Members of Parliament is a Human Resources Generalist who possesses a thorough understanding of the human resources needs of the Members of Parliament. The Business Partner acts as a liaison between Members of Parliament and House Officers and the Human Resources Services team within the House Administration. The HR Business Partner provides a consultancy service that delivers best practice and, in conjunction with specialist HR functions, provides advice and solutions that support the Members in resolution of workplace issues and promotion a positive and healthy work environment.
The successful incumbent is a proactive communicator and change agent, someone who can influence a partnership approach that promotes greater use of the expertise and advice of Human Resources. The incumbent is a trusted advisor who is expected to bridge any gaps in human resources services provided to Members and House Officers. You will ensure that responses to client needs are fulsome in nature and serve to support meeting the needs of the client, collaborating with other services areas across the House Administration, as deemed necessary.
The incumbent will assess and anticipate human resources-related needs of Members. The incumbent will ensure that teams within Human Resources Services have the information needed to best respond to client needs, providing advice and expert guidance to facilitate the resolution of human resource challenges as well as leverage the opportunity to proactively engage in sound human resources management practice.
The purpose of this recruitment and selection process is to staff the Human Resources Business Partner - Members of Parliament position on an indeterminate basis, and to establish a list of potential candidates.
