The Payroll Manager is accountable for delivering accurate, timely and precise payroll results to approximately 16,000 plus Canadian-based employees. As part of the finance team, the Payroll Manager effectively oversees the day-to-day payroll demands of a complex multi-geographic, multi union organization and works to ensure timely and accurate completion of different payrolls every pay period representing various lines of business. This role also ensures full and ongoing compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements and coordinates and supports periodic changes applicable to the payroll system and processes.
The Payroll Manager also provides oversight and expertise relating to payroll and HR financial management to ensure integrity of balance sheet accounts including reconciliations, government and other remittances, expenses, analytics as well as internal and external audit compliance and reviews.
