What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the Director of HR Operations, the HRIS Manager with assist with the design, development and implementation of a short-term and long-term HRIS strategic plan and roadmap. The HRIS Manager will advise the Director on all matters pertaining to the support of the HRIS and its integrations. A roll up the sleeves collaborative team player, the HRIS Manager will be responsible for ongoing maintenance of the system as well as design, deployment, enhancements of HCM globally, including HR system integrations and data requirements.

Serve as a strong consultative and collaborative partner to the Business leaders, IS and HR leaders to champion adoption, continuously improve service delivery, system usability and functionality and enhanced reporting in alignment with HR strategy and initiatives, while ensuring for consistent security, data integrity, system functionality and reporting. Configure HRIS to align to the data requirements of HR. This role requires the ability to ascertain individual end-user and business needs and the ability to communicate with people that have varying levels of technical expertise.

Lead all HRIS and business process projects to improve efficiencies and collect and analyse key human capital metrics. Manage current and future design, configuration and administration of HRIS data & modules including HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Reporting, Onboarding and Performance Management. The position will also interact with vendors and consultants.

  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the organizations internal HR information services systems, which include database management, network support, installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.
  • Oversees and maintains internal database files, tables, codes, backup files, integrity, and security.
  • Installs, implements, modifies, and upgrades software and applications to meet changing business and technology.
  • Assist Process Owners to develop business processes to meet strategic objectives, providing process development and HRIS solutions expertise driving innovation and proactive change management.
  • Provide functional and technical support, identify and troubleshoot system problems as the subject matter expert for all systems development, maintenance and integrations. Ensure data integrity, testing of systems changes, report writing and process improvement opportunities.
  • Lead the deployment of feature releases and system maintenance, ensuring client requirements are met
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including IT, Payroll, Benefits, Finance and other departments to facilitate effective communication and issue escalation with a goal to establish successful and collaborative HR systems and processes.
  • Own and manage the relationships with vendors, ensure the company is getting the best value and support while keeping costs at a minimum.
  • Evaluate feasibility of system modifications and enhancements
  • Overall accountability for data governance, security, and compliance
  • Maintain awareness of future releases / roadmap and 3rd party vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future HRIS functionality
  • Manage the data integrity; through standard integrity reports, data maintenance and implementation of standard operating/ reporting requirements
  • Manage the review, testing and implementation of HR system for new/changes in functionality
  • Partner with HR and other Business leaders to define, develop and standardize HR reporting. Continuously improve reporting to assist the organization to make strategic decisions.
  • Responsible for ensuring that month-end procedures and controls are in place, appropriately monitored, and new policies and procedures are developed as needed.
  • Maintain and enhance HR Business Process and develop workflow and material to create clarity and understanding around HR systems - HR Reporting & Analytics (Dashboard)
  • Oversight for all data feeds across the various HR platforms
  • Monitor internal HR systems and databases
  • Manage the data load files into HR Systems, maintain the integrity of our HR core data

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 5 years working as HRIS Senior Specialist, Manager or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of SAP HCM with experience in the design, deployment, enhancement and maintenance of HCM globally, including HR system integrations and data requirements.
  • People process reengineering experience targeted to improve efficiency and accuracy leveraging Lean Six Sigma, PMP or similar methodologies.
  • Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management
  • Strong HR functional knowledge and system experience preferred
  • 5 years of experience using data analytics tools and methodologies to create and develop dashboards and derive data insights. Thorough understanding of data base construction.
  • Proficient with Office 365 including Workplace Intelligence or other related software.
  • Knowledge of US and Canadian labour laws
  • Strong interpersonal and partnering skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Proactive and results-driven self-motivated approach.
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment and comfortable with change.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Human Resource Management required
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders to translate HR strategy into an HRIS roadmap to help establish efficient process design and workflows
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment where key stakeholders were consulted to develop short term solutions with an eye to support a long term plan.
  • Proven ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
  • Progressive knowledge in evaluating releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use ERP’s.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Experience with ERP system implementations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in an agile environment, having met the needs and challenges of a dynamic business environment
