Job Summary

Talent Acquisition is looking for a keen and highly detailed individual to join their recruitment team.  In this role you will support hiring managers across the City to find and attract the right talent in order to meet their business now and in the future. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, the successful candidate will perform the following duties:

  • Manage recruitment portfolio by providing full cycle recruitment support (strategic planning, sourcing, advertising, screening, interview documentation, references, job offer and pre-hire validation, etc.)
  • Ensure electronic recruitment file (i.e. Job Requisition) is complete, accurate and updated as per established processes 
  • Support and coach hiring manager with the use of HR related systems and information (SAP, SAP SuccessFactors) 
  • Provide just in time training and support to hiring managers across the City on recruitment process and policy and employment legislation interpretation
  • Support implementation of talent acquisition projects/initiatives as required
  • Participate in job fairs and webinars when required
  • Provide administrative assistance as it relates to confidential HR correspondence, reports, etc. 
  • Research and troubleshoot operational issues and escalate issues when required
  • Assist in employee complaint investigations and report writing
  • Assist in claims management and Return to Work analysis and documentation
  • Assist the Departmental Human Resources team as required
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • A post-secondary education in the field of  Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or in a related discipline
  • Minimum three years of relevant Human Resources experience, experience in high-volume recruitment is preferred
  • Certified Human Resources Professional designation is considered an asset
  • Previous experience with HRIS systems is required, specific experience in SAP, SAP SuccessFactors would be highly valued
  • Strong customer service skills are required to maintain high standards of accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness
  • Strong verbal and written communication is essential 
  • Ability to develop trusting and effective relationships with hiring managers at all levels of the organization
  • Possess effective time management tools / skills to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines in fast-paced environment
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, discretion, confidentiality and diplomacy at all times
  • Primarily office environment, exposure to computer keyboards and screens, may require some light lifting of supplies/materials 

Hourly Rate/Salary: $63,355 - $84,474 
Hours of Work: 35
