Assistant Director, Operations – HR Support Services
An outstanding leader with expertise in human resources, employee relations, contract administration, and collective bargaining will welcome this opportunity to join the Peel District School Board as Assistant Director, Operations – and part of the Human Resources Support Services management team.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources Support Services, you will provide system and departmental leadership on a variety of Human Resources functions, including Employee Relations, HRIS, Records Management, Teacher Personnel and Support Services. This will include developing, implementing and maintaining effective Human Resources policies and procedures, as well as developing and managing HR strategic goals and initiatives. Your strengths as a communicator and facilitator will shine in your role as Assistant Director, Operations, as you collaborate and liaise with Board, Union and Federation representatives, and provide counsel and guidance on the interpretation and operational implementation of collective agreements for academic and support staff groups, employment and labour legislation, and Board policies and procedures.
With your professional knowledge and insight, the Board's management and senior administration will also count on you as a resource for support and advice on complex labour and employee relations – from performance management, and academic and non-academic staffing, to progressive discipline, grievance and termination matters.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The leadership position of Assistant Director of Operations is a significant mandate calling for no fewer than 10 years' progressive related experience with a background in Human Resources, employee relations, labour relations and employment law. Salary: $138,525 - $145,604 per annum
