Your Challenge

In collaboration and coordination with the EHS Regional Manager, the Jr. Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator will be responsible for supporting all service lines with the implementation of the Corporate Environment, Health and Safety Management System.


Your Responsibilities

  • Support ongoing JHSC meetings and workplace inspection efforts to ensure ongoing compliance;
  • Prepare & posting of JHSC meeting minutes;
  • Maintain online prequalification process including ISNetworld, PICS, Contractor Check and Browz;
  • Monitor the incident database and work with project managers and supervisors to ensure timely closure of internal incidents;
  • Supporting service lines with proposals submissions & the preparation of EHS prequalification packages;
  • Maintain subcontractor EHS prequalification documentation;
  • Assign EHS related training to staff;
  • Generates EHS training reports;
  • Coordinates external EHS training for the service lines;
  • Assist with the management of Workers Compensation Claims;
  • Support Certificate of Recognition implementation efforts for Central Canada;
  • Assist in the development and delivery of internal EHS training;
  • Ensure safety data sheets are maintained;
  • Conduct project EHS observations;
  • Participate in annual review of the health and safety management system;
  • Exposure to IHSA/COR would be an asset;
  • Exposure to ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 would be an asset;
  • Other duties as assigned.


The Skills, Knowledge, and Ability We Seek

  • Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Health Sciences or Business;
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record of performance;
  • Ability to form strong working relationships;
  • Team Player with exceptional communication skills;
  • Construction experience would be an asset;
  • Intermediate computer and software skills;
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
