The Functional Analyst is responsible for defining and overseeing the implementation of business requirements, maintenance, upgrades and associated software applications to support the human resources enterprise information system (PeopleSoft HCM 9.2). The incumbent provides functional and technical advice and first level support to the team in developing and maintaining many of these applications as well as the human resource professionals and interface partners using the HR system. The incumbent will work with the human resources leadership, project teams and other specialists in human resources to meet its goals in support of critical technology applications that address the University's strategic human resource needs. The incumbent will provide direction and assistance to developers and database administrators in Western Technology Services, ensuring projects remain on track and critical human resource transactions, data and processes are well managed.
You are responsible for continuous research, analysis, and identification of software development trends, PeopleSoft/Oracle functional releases and applicable mobile technology. The incumbent is accountable for promoting informative resources to the human resources systems team by staying current on PeopleSoft developments using a variety of PeopleSoft resources (i.e. information portals, etc.) and through participative membership in software development or higher education consortiums, list-services and established partnerships. The role is responsible for leveraging collective expertise and knowledge to manage large, enterprise scale software implementations/enhancements and projects.
