WhiteWater is seeking a Quality & Safety Analyst to join our Quality & Safety team at our Richmond head office for the Spring 2022 term! Reporting to the Director, Quality & Safety, the main focus of this position is to support efforts in developing an Environmental Management System (per ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems – Requirements). This role will have additional responsibilities in any one or more of the following areas: Safety Management System (ISO 45001), Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Performance Evaluation & Improvement, Supplier Quality. Please note that this is a co-op position from Jan - Apr 2022.


Primary Responsibilities (roughly 60% of Scope)

    Environment (ISO 14001):

    • Environmental Aspects Assessment
    • Operational Planning & Control
    • Emergency Preparedness & Response

    Secondary Responsibilities (roughly 40% of Scope)

    Safety (ISO 45001):

    • Occupational Safety
    • Site / Travel Safety
    • Technical / Product Safety

    Quality (ISO 9001):

    • Commodity Management
    • Standards Conformity
    • FAI (First Article Inspection) / PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)

    Supplier Quality:

    • Supplier Selection, Development, & Qualification
      • Supplier Management and Feedback
    • Supplier Visits, Audits, Inspections, etc.
    • Commodity-, Part-, and Supplier-Specific Requirements

    PEI (Performance Evaluation & Improvement):

    • Incident Response Process, Supplemental Bulletin Process
    • NCR / OFI Process, G8D Process
    • Gemba Walk Process, Management Review Process
    • Commodity-, Part-, and Supplier-Specific Requirements


    • Enrolled in a Coop Program in Engineering, Science, Management, Health & Safety, or any other related area.
    • Experience in Industry, Sports, or Volunteer programs working in a team environment is an asset.
    • Experience with Workplace, Product, and Construction Site Safety is an asset.
    • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
    • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to work with minimum direction and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships with all levels of the organization.
    • Proven ability to work well with diverse groups.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
    • Must be a team player and self-starter with a positive and results-oriented attitude.
